Get Ready for Spring
Getting ready for Spring includes cleaning up, adding new plants to attract birds and butterflies, and providing some different foods.
This is the perfect time to clean all of your feeders, poles and baffles, repair any weather damage, rake up any debris under your feeding stations, and to remulch the whole area. It is very satisfying knowing you have provided clean, safe feeding stations in your backyard habitat.
You will notice an increase in activity at your feeders as your birds enter the energy-intensive breeding and nesting season.
Welcome them with clean feeders. Try our Poop-Off to remove droppings, and use our special brushes to clean those tube feeders.
If you don't serve fresh, running water, now is the perfect time to add a birdbath. Create moving water in your birdbath with a dripper or wiggler. They are both great ways to attract both new and existing birds.
Another great way to attract new birds is with mealworms. Mealworms can consistently attract birds that you hardly ever see such as warblers, robins, thrushes, and more. They will come every day looking for the mealworms which are a great source of energy for the birds and their young. It is amazing how much they like these mealworms!
When you're done, sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor as the birds and other backyard visitors provide you with hours of pleasure.
